It's OK if you can overlook the past you already know and accept. But I guess that's what all the big writer's, directors and producers are doing today.

the story they wanted to tell was of a young Merlin and a young Arthur. so
how can the series be wrong when the legend was never "right" to be begin with?? every version of the legend has cherry picked and reimagined the elements the writer wanted. Just like Robin Hood, Zorro, William Tell and hundreds of others.
the show is well written, good production values, likeable characters and actors and a decent Irish bird - I ask no more
