but, will they have smooth foreheads, as was originally shown with an explanation later ret-conned into the series, or the ridges, which were originally intended but cut due to budgetary reasons?

If you're talking about the actors, no. If you're talking about the characters, yes. I'd like to see a movie version of Kirk's first confrontation with the Klingons as depicted in the Michael Jan Friedman novel, Enterprise. But it had Gary Mitchell in it and this alternate reality doesn't have Mitchell.
