Admiral's Log:

Pylons have taken form. I found a previous construction and immediately modified it according. They've been outfitted with the dorsal and ventral phaser arrays. (The first to appear on the ship.)

What's missing from the pylons are the filleted edges and the Nacelle mounts as well as the Stardrive mounts. The last consideration will be the joints that allow for variable adjustement in the field.

There are 4 phaser arrays total on the pylons
and two sets of Tractor Track-Arrays on the inner "Tigh" of the Pylons

Admiral's Log: Stardate- 09249.12

The more I tackle this the better this comes out. I've completed molding the rudimentary form of the shullte bay hull of the Star Drive. CAD has helped me to appreciate that the lines I had established in 2D were difficult to attatain and perhaps unrealistic. This would make 45% of the primary molding for the Star Drive fuselage complete.

This leaves the Lower Stardrive hull to complete. Deflector-Cargo % Umbillical Decks and the Weapons pod suspended at the bottom of the ship.

Admirals Log: Supplemental-

Pictures to follow. The progress has been good.

Stardrive dorsal Primitives

Stardrive ISO1 Primitive

I am gratified the progress has been abundant.
The lines are still sharp but the smoothing process will be the final task.
The next task is detailing and redesigning areas that are problems.
I've created two models...a whole model and a segmented model so that I have a record of each piece created.

It's coming along nicely. Having spent a few days messing around with modelling, I envy anyone who can do a good job of it!

Following the modelling phase, what's your intentions for the Enigma?

My thanks, TSO.

I'm very enthused about the progress.
I'll have to learn how the texture but Enigma will be submited to Star Trek: Bridge Commander to be played in game.

I had a set back. Lost most of the changes to the solid model when I dropped the drive on the ground out side during transport...

But I found a backup on the work computer....
only the nose of the stardrive is up to date on this log thread.

Okay!

I've found the back up files...And because I simply don't want to start the headache of the Star drive right this moment and because there was issues with the mating from that version between the Saucer ...I'm now doing the Saucer. I'll save the rudimentary shapes that I made for it and use it to carve out the front of the Star Drive.

The Secondary Deflector was very difficult.
I designed impropperly from the begining. The triangular shape was difficult to achive in three Dimensions but the original surface model was just about getting a surface between two lines.

I'm very enthused because this was a step forward. ANd it feels like since I've done the majority of the Star Drive before it should be easier.

There are so far no rounded surfaces...I want to wait until the design shape is fully in place.

The Rudimentary Main Gun is in place too. It's shape worked out well as well as the Port and Starboard Ablative Armor. These only appear to be one Object but this model is 3 seperate object that can be moved from each other and I won't unite them until I'm sure there will be no changes to them

Neat starship Saquist!

I can definitely see it sneaking around doing the bidding of Section 31.
