True but remember this is a Stealth ship.
So it's strongest Fire Power is to the rear. I shouldn't neglect to mention that it does have 4 forward Photon Launchers in the Secondary hull. But anytime you can make the enemy dodge...YOU gain Distance from them and opportunity to escape. The Enigma (The first ship) is almost purely recon. It opperates in active stealth and while the Active stealth is online the shield opperate at only 20 percent of maximum. Under Passive Stealth the shields are completely shut down. If the Enigma every has to go to full Battle the ship will seperate and discard Stealth completely brining it's powerful forward Gun and 6 forward tubes to bear. At that point the Saucer can decided to assist, return to Stealth and Flee or wait for the conclussion of the engagement.

A stealth ship?
Does it have a cloaking field? I thought that Starfleet decreed that their vessels wouldn't use that technology. |

No cloak.
This doesn't violate the Treaty of Algeron. The Steath allows the ship to be visible but it can not be tracked and targeted by faster than light sensors. It's a PSMD (Peripheral Subspace Masking Device) Not a Cloaking Device.

Won't the creation of this ship be construed as an act of aggression?
In our real life the creation of stealth ships/aircraft is always considered an act of aggression. There really is no reason to create the ship unless the Federation is already engaged in a war. If this vessel was built during peace time it might not go over well with the Romulans or the Cardassians etc. The Federation wants peace with these civilazations so the last thing they should do is build a ship that can be used to spy on others. The Stealth can be defeated by Three or more ships sharing Telemetry from Sensors.
But you have to know what to look for.

ENIGMA FLYBY
Athough this IS NOT the Solid Model I'm working on now.... It is a good representation of what I'm doing with the design. The Flyby thanks to CAD gives a great perception of the ship's look. The Engines here are not articulated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25FIPay_X9k

Well, that YouTube representation does look good. Nice design. Is that different from your design somehow?

It's a work in Progress. The original design had Multivector assault mode. Three ship in one. This design in the video shows the three ships...A Bridge Ship with a Pair of warp engines, The Suacer Section and the Star Drive. After I started the MSD I found that the space was insufficient for docking latches for three ships so I left it out. I was having misgivings anyway about that. I'm not satisfied with certain areas of the ship. The underside of the nacelles and the connection between the Saucer and the Star Drive troubles me...but I think I've solved that in the new plans. Speaking of the MSD. I'm done with the detailed Cross-Section Enigma Cross-Section
