You really should take this advice to heart Spokthecool. Punctuation would be nice too. I know e-mail and texting are NOT considered formal communications, but basic use of punctuation and capital letters would make reading your posts much easier. Often times there are a number of ways your posts could be read, depending on where you intended one sentence to end and another to begin.

I'll second the suggestion that proper capitalization would have prevented any confusion. I know that kids like to type fast and not bother, but as we see, there is a reason to do it correctly.

This is not an instant messenger situation. Speed is not of the essence. Take the time to hit the shift key when appropriate and type out all of the letters in the word. (you) is just two more keystrokes than (u)...we have the time, we'll wait while you type them....go for the entire word!

Perhaps, but just accepting it is NOT what I would consider helpful. It's sort of like being an enabler. We keep lowering education standards in schools, just so as the scores seem to improve. Our kids can't read or write properly and we just say "hey, it's the era of e-mail and texting". I don't think so. Kids are smart, they simply need to be challenged. Parents, and ANY adult influence, should step up to the plate and DEMAND MORE from our younger members of society.

Spokthecool, you NEED to use punctuation and capital letters. If you continue NOT to, then people will start to ignore your posts. If your writing ability is less than you would like, then this is the perfect place to practice. I am sure I make MANY mistakes when I post and perhaps so will you, but that is only natural.
