Default STNV Refit for TOS Enterpise

Sneak peek at the Star Trek New Voyages Phase II refit Enterprise model by Daren R. Dochterman. Following the events depicted in 'Blood and Fire' the Enterprise is in need of repairs and undergoes an intermediate repair/refit to complete her 5 year mission. It will make it's debut in 'Enemy: Starfleet'

Yeah. Saw that a loooooong time ago. It's okay. But doesn't look that great to me, personally. The nacelle struts are funny looking. But it does resemble the original Phase II ship design from the early 70's. I think it was by Probert?

I don't know. I actually enjoy STNV. I love the sets and the CGI is pretty good. The acting, on the other hand definitely leaves much to be desired. But you have to remember, these people are doing this on their own time with their own money. They get no support or monetary reimbursement whatsoever. I for one am very glad to sese somebody is actually making a TOS-style show that I can enjoy. And I do enjoy NV.

Yes, it does seem to have a funny feel to it, but i like the nacelle design. The Bussards look cool His secondary hull, deflector and struts all look weird.

STNV is good, except it is hampered by poor acting at times. Still it is Trek, despite the lousy storylines at times.

The first episode is an alternate universe by the way. Recommend it!

I don't think the antenna thing on the deflector works with this design. and the struts do look a bit big in relation to the secondary hull, and I'm not too fond of the gumdrop bridge here. The underside of the saucer looks more like what I want the bridge to look like. I prefer the TMP refit style bridge where it flows right into the saucer rather than looking like it was fitted on afterward.

The nacelles are pretty sweet though.

I don't think the sepia tone dish looks good with the blue tone nacelles, bridge etc.

The dish should also be blue.

The underside hides pretty much all my concerns though, that shot looks great.
