They must have had a thin year - why on earth is Moon Bloodgood nominated for Terminator 4? Her character was a joke in that movie. Is it her perfect hair she's nominated for?

I hope Gillian Anderson wins it then.

Well everyone can vote just once a day (and it's verified through e-mail)- that still makes it equal, doesn't it, provided that everyone does it on a regular basis.

Well TBH, the competition in the field of big screen SF/fantasy female roles is usually not all that strong. Apparently, Dakota Fanning missed making the top 5 for voicework in "Coraline" by a single vote. http://www.airlockalpha.com/node/6446

I haven't even seen the X-Files movie, even though I used to be an X-Phile many years ago (although a moderate one). They screwed up the mythology really badly in the last few seasons, from what I've heard of the movie, it seemed equally lame... Is it worth watching at all?

No, one vote for one choice once is how it works.

The X-Files movie isn't to everyone's taste, but since the competition is weak, I'd send it her way simply because in general she's a better actress than the rest. Cate Blanchett excepted, but I didn't enjoy Benjamin Button and her performance there was a bit off for me.
