I think this is one of if not the best things to come out of STO

when i get this game that is THE ship i must have

a great torch bearer for classic TOS star trek
(also a shameless way to attract TOS fans)

Looks like the Nova Class.

Looks like a cross of several ships to me, nacelles are a bit Sovereign like, drive section looks a bit Ambassador like, double torpedo tubes and neck look a bit Constitution refit like and the saucer reminds me a bit like the Excelsior class.

Doesn't look too bad, I'd serve on it.

I like the look, but it doesn't look like other Excaliber class ships i've seen. I thought the central design feature of the Excaliber class was the unusual shield-shaped hull connector that unites the primary hull with the tail section of the ship, see image below.

The Excalibur-class is the only new ship designed for STO that actually looks like a Star Trek ship, IMO. I actually find it to be a great design, and a definite homage to the Constitution-class. In short, I WANT ONE!!!

the 25th century Enterprise is an Excaliber class vessel. Too bad we won't see one on screen.

I didn't know there was already a pre-established design for an Excalibur-class starship. If there is, could you please post some photos, I'm really into starship design, and if there's a class I've never seen before, I'd like to know about it.
