But is Bethesda owned by CBS, Paramount or connected with the Viacom family?

They probably don't have to operate under a mountain of corporate rules.

The day this site starts giving mod powers to ordinary members is the day it becomes worthless as a site.

You make an interesting point. It could just be different values/objectives/focus/traffic but I don't see the point in speculating on that.

Not necessarily. Remember what happened when there was no admin at ST.com?

I'd hate to see the same thing happen here as well.

When all those people got "let go" last year, right before the Holidays, no one was left to update the site or be the admins for the forum there.

From what I have seen at st.com, 2 admins have come and gone already.

Plus, the team running the web site have not updated the main page since December.
