Its not 100 reason's he's listed Lens flares like 5 times in the first 25 and "Sex in trek" 3 times. Besides Sex has been in trek since the beginning.

THe Lens flares and "ZOOMing" didn't bother me I ddn't even really notice the close ups. *LOL*

Not to say a couple of points are not semi-valid, but half of the points are so laughably down to personal preferences they are worthless as valid reasons. I mean, what does not liking the actor playing George Kirk have to do with anything? Perhaps a short, fat, hairy, buck-toothed individual would look like the genetic stock Kirk came from? The Kelvin's doctor? Well, let's see - Deanna Troi was impossible to distinguish from a human and she was an alien - at least the doc looked different.

So, yes, it's well done and amusing - but he has said nothing that gives any good reason to agree with him.

Should that have been his intention.

And I presume he will turn his attention to all the other films in the franchise as well? They are not without the scope for a similar list.

What a boring, repetitive, pointless, uninspired and unconstructive rant that was.

1. Sulu is not japanese but korean now? Get a life!
2. Checkovs accent was not russian, eventhough Yelchin is a russian? Get a life!
3. Camera to shaky and the cuts where to fast for you? The headache comes from the beer you drink and the feeling everything is to fast comes from the pot you smoke. Get a life!

Don't forget it was Nimoy who started it, with his comment on SNL that Trekkers that don't like the new Star Trek are d*ckheads. I was offended at that. It was a stupid comment. Anyway, if the guy had made better points than the garbage that comprised a hefty chunk of it, perhaps it would have been met more fairly. As it is I can take out a minimum of 10% of his first 30 without even thinking about them because they are personal and subjective -

Lens flares (not a problem for me), actor playing George Kirk and Kelvin doctor. If I go back I can certainly dump a few more for similar reasons.

But it offers virtually nothing substantial or constructive.

That's my larger complaint.

Yeah. I couldn't believe that one. I had to do quite a few searches to check see if that was true.

I was disappointed.

How would people have responded if Harrison Ford had said the same about people watching Indy 4?
