Correction - more naked green women!

I think the next film will have a lot to offer people, just in the same way Dark Knight did, but i mean they keep recasting James Bond and that is just as popular as ever, i wouldnt want them to keep recasting Star Trek, but it has been done before even in Batman, glossing over George Clooney lol, as i said before we should all be glad that Star Trek is back

I think it's very hard to judge what he might have thought - but...

He probably would have done what he did with TUC. Said to the makers it was great, then as soon as they left phone the lawyers and demand half of it be taken out.

no way did he do that lol, i cant say i blame him though, i think he would of been pleased with the look and feel of this film, i remember reading somewhere that he thought the enterprise interior in TMP looked too much like a hotel and not an aircraft carrier in space which is what he wanted for TOS. The ship in the new film looked more organic and more lived and worked in which added to the realism, so i think he would of been happy with that

i dunno what GR would have thought.

if he was a man of any vision, though, I'd assume he'd be glad Trek was still kicking.

y'know, when they cancelled Enterprise with no spinoff, I was thinking about the future of Star Trek, "crap, She's Dead, Jim!"

trek is like a phoenix, though. from the ashes of the old always arises something new.

I look forward to seeing many new Enterprise designs, and hopefully, much more trek

Except some wanted the old back and risen from the grave. Unfortunately such things tend to want to eat your brain... like the last TNG movie did.

New designs are always good to see. Some are good some are not.

I know I've posted this quote in other threads, but it is just too appropriate here not to post it again. This is from a 1981 letter from Gene Roddenberry to fans regarding the death of Spock in STII-WOK:

"Even if Nimoy never plays Spock again, I think it would be wonderful years from now to see Star Trek come back with an equally talented new cast playing Spock and Kirk and Bones and Scotty and all the rest as they say tomorrow’s things to tomorrow’s generations…"

Take it as you will; I think he would be quite alright with the new film.
