Even at this late date, Star Trek continues to receive praise, this time from a reviewer in the Prague Post who favorably compared the movie to Terminator Salvation:

If you're jonesing to mainline more action, Terminator Salvation should serve as a quick fix. But for anyone hoping this film might come laced with some credible plotting or dialogue that transcends the pedestrian, you'll need to look elsewhere (and why not to the further adventures of the men and women of the Starship Enterprise?).

It's good for fans of Trek to know that this new movie continues to impress, and it bodes well for the future of this enterprise that naysayers, contrarians, and curmudgeons -- of which there are often many in the world of critics -- aren't gaining much purchase concerning the franchise.

Indeed. While I enjoyed T4, I found it worthy only of an initial viewing. Now I'm waiting for the Blu-Ray.

Star Trek is the first movie in a while that I've gone and seen multiple times.

I'm seeing T4 on Saturday - I've really revised my expectations downwards significantly from when I saw the trailers earlier in the year.

It seem as if it could be a case of great trailers - not-so-great-movie. I fihure if it's equal with T3 it'll be doing ok.

(not that that's ringing endorsment!)
