Deflector dish!
Tonight was my third viewing, and I noticed something I missed the first 2 viewings and that I havn't seen mentioned here...the new deflector dish...
In the closing scene, as the Enterprise and approaching the camera and as Spock Prime begins the classic lines, there are 5 (maybe 6) panels that slide away from the center...like blast panels or something. Kinda like there's more components inside the dish that are protected but these panels.... It's a fast shot, but look for this on your next viewing!

the deflector dish only does that when the Enterprise is ready for warp. a new feature JJ and crew put in. i think it's pretty cool.

Perhaps that's where they keep the modified tachyon pulse?? I'll have to look this weekend.

I assume few people have noticed, or this would have been a huge issue (change) a month ago...
 Seems wierd to me, the way it opens. It's a flower...

J.J. and his crack team desired more moving parts on their Enterprise. Don't be surprised to see more of this in Trek XII.
