Maybe this Porthos is distant breed down of the the first.

Archer dies the day after 1701 is launched.

McCoy is still alive due to his body being tampered with in TOS. His organs continually regenerate. This was covered the the book of the pilot episode and it was a way of reaching out to TOS fans by original character placement.

Dogs are cool. Trip is dead. T'Pol misses him. Bring Scotty a sandwich.

is that the episode where he tells Kirk he has a terminal illness, falls for an alien babe and in her vast data library Spock discovers a cure?

I always thought it was just because they keep giving him transplants.

Yep. That sounds fine to me. It is not uncommon for people to have dogs around all their lives. I am 53 and there has NEVER been any period in my life when I have not had a pet dog, in fact I have almost always had two.

That is the correct episode. Bones remarries, too.

Unfortunately, that's not canon. It was never seen or mentioned on screen. That "fact" was on a display screen in the captain's quarters on the USS Defiant that was not used in the ENT episode "In A Mirror, Darkly". Besides, if it were canon, it would mean that Jonathan Archer died in 2245 at the approximate age of 134, when the Real Enterprise NCC-1701 was launched. The Abramsprise was launched in 2258. That's thirteen years later. Scotty had only been exiled for six months. So it could not possibly have been Jonathan Archer. He would have been 147-ish by that time.

I can't argue with that.

Oh crap. You just brought up another continuity issue.
