I always thought if the parts were played by somewhat older actors and as older characters it would have been better. They did play it like 18-21. In the main part of Trek Kirk was 28. And even then some people thought he was too young. Imagine if during most significant part of the movie he was 21?

Yea because I was 21 once. I didnt like it.

Nah just kidding. But if for example the assassins in Pulp Fiction were played by a couple of 21 year olds instead of Travolta and Jackson it wouldnt have worked. They just wouldnt have been believable, regardless of how good of actors they were.
