Talking Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

That's right; I'm a Transformers geek.
Have been since I was eight years old and recieved my first
Optimus Prime.
So, enjoying the big loud action film that the first was (it was based off of an 80's toyline. ) I'm nauturally looking forward to the next installment.
Anyone else?

I'm more looking forward to the DVD releases of the 80s Transformers Gen 1 cartoon, and G.I. Joe.

VinceCain, what do you think of the new G.I. Joe film, it's like a futuristic take on it.
See trailer here, http://www.gijoemovie.com/

Oh, I've seen the trailer; What got me was how generic it all seemed to be.
And "Accelerator suits"?
Really?
While at it's heart, Transformers still felt like Transformers to me, this new GIJoe film really doesn't for some reason.
Granted, The Baroness looks right, so does Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow; but the rest? I'm not sure.
On the other hand, I wasn't one of the people who were screaming murder over flames on Prime.
I always understand that changes need to be made in the transition to film; and really, if all of the GIJoes looked like their original toon' counterparts, the "Village People" jokes would probably never end.

Actually, by the looks of things, he combines with Jetfire in this film during the climax....

I love the first one - it replaced ID4: Independence Day as my favourite silly destruction derby movie.

I'm very much looking forward to more of the same.

www.showbizdata.com has an article projecting that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen may open with up to $160 million over it's 5 day opening.

That would blast it into a heading for biggest hit of the year.
