They've screwed up one Enterprise lets leave the rest alone.
If it's not broke... Star Trek fans have an insatiable desire for new ships and designs. It has left their palette wide and all encompassing. We've lost our discrimination not just for beauty but more importantly we've lost the appreciation for function.

perhaps they'll keep the saucer and refit (discard) the rest and go to more of a TOS appearance
 After all, we've seen classic enterprise after Pike was captain for years, then different when kirk was captain in tos, who's to say this isn't how the enterprise appeared early in it's life and it didn't later get refitted to the TOS appearance?
