Default New Refit Enterprise For The Next Movie?

Talk had started about whether we will see the Enterprise slightly re-designed for the next movie, the equivalent of the design changes seen from the 1701 to the 1701-A.

I would say that we will see changes in the design because thats purely how cinema works and they will want to entice new audiences years after the first film went out and making changes to the 'star' is the best way to do it.

How drastic these changes will be is anyones guess but im sure even if its down to a change in hull colour such as in First Contact and Nemisis, we will see a change. Im guessing the blue or green aztec detailing will return!

Also this new movie was meant to be a representation of TOS, not the original motion picture. Hence it would make logical sense that the next Enterprise would represent the refit seen in the TMP.

Im sure the end credit music will also change from the TOS score to the TMP one.

Anyway, theres are Poll, Yes or No!

very nice thread sir, although this tread has been already started by me and i have posted photos of the Proposed Refit Enterprise. but to answer your question, YES we will see the Refit Enterprise but not in the next film. i think the 3rd film we will probably see the Enterprise NCC-1701-A be launched and possibilty engage VGER.

I saw your thread and that was discussing those fan-made refit pictures. I created this thread and poll to have more of a dicussion about whether we will see a design change happen, rather than what it will look like.

I have to disagree about changes only happening in the 3rd film, I think we will see changes made to the Enterprise in all the films. Especially as the designers will take onboard feedback from fans and improve on various aspects.

I think there might be tweaks but not a wholesale redesign.

Anyway, I after a stable bridge for TMP-TVH I personally wasn't a fan of a new bridge every film.

Again, I hope they don't redesign it... that's like redesigning the ship for each season of the show.

Down the road, maybe if the film series goes on and the actors get older, we can see a redesign, along with updated uniforms... maybe like the 6th film...

Please no. I love this ship as is and it's brand new, so why would Starfleet/ILM/whoever's directing next refit it already?
