ST II, Nick Meyer wanted to name The Undiscovered Country, but it was thought by TPTB to be lost on the general movie going crowd they were trying to bring in, so they changed it to "The Vengeance of Khan." At the time, the third Star Wars movie was in production, and the running promotional title was "Revenge of the Jedi". So, the title for ST II was changed to "The Wrath of Khan", and ironically, the title of the new Star Wars movie (for Jedi philosophical reasons...as they feel revenge is a path to the dark side) was changed to "Return of the Jedi".

Voila....history of the name change.

And yes, looking it up he HELPED write the screenplay with like 5 other people. So I was wrong, but he didn't have a HUGE influence. Also someone said on here he was involved in ST3, and he was NOT. People ask for links on here all the time. When I asked you I believe I even said "please" and "sir". Someone didn't think ST2 was gonna be called "TUC", and I pulled the quote.
And why would I be "deliberately" uninformed. That insinuates a lie, and I don't appreciate it. Consider me done with this thread or from talking to you again. I've NEVER been treated rudely one here before. Your little happy face does nothing to signify you are being flippant. Now leave me alone.

I 100% want Abrams at the helm for Star Trek XII. I beg and pray! His directorial style was fantastic (even if next time we can do with less lens flares). He knew how to get the best out of his actors and his production team and how to consolidate their contributions, letting people who know a little more about Trek canon inform him and not being afraid to take bold, innovative steps. I really hope he stays on. I know he's a little ADD about projects but I'm praying he'll stick to it for one more.
