I was thinking with the size of the Enterprise (close to Enterprise-D size) and with the awesome updated technology, could the Enterprise have a holodeck present and also probably more than one transporter room?

As for a holodeck... I have no idea. I don't recall if they showed any Federation holograms, but they were definitely present on the Narada, so if the Kelvin took deep enough scans, they could have reverse-engineered that technology too. |

It's got to have more that one transporter room. All since TOS have. And maybe even the NX-1701. But all the others had several though they were never specifically refered to, that I remember. They had large cargo transporters as well.

Holodeck technology was present in TAS... which was still considered as part of the 5 year mission. So I would think it is possible on this upgraded alternate universe Enterprise.

My guess is they'll stay away from holodecks because they're a little too TNG-y. I'm not opposed to it though. One of my favorate TNG eps was the second Moriarty ep. They winked at us with Picard saying it was possible they existed in a box in someone's living room. Loved that.

The Abramsprise doesn't even have decent viewscreens, how the hell are they gonna manage a holodeck?

You would think that holodeck technology would be simpler than transporter tech, we are close to it even today.

Nooo! I can see it now! In the next movie, when in the holodeck, it malfunctions and the safetys fail. It kills someone and Kirk says to prime Spock, "I bet this never happens in the future."
