is he dead or not. that's not the question. the question is where if any the remains of the narada go to. i tend to think that he went back to the 24th century, the exact second he left, or to the past or future. only 2 people know. Roberto Orci and Alex Krutzman

Wasn't the film's ARG based around this idea? That he survived in a crumbled Narada, found himself in the present day, and started plotting to take out Vulcan again?

I personally don't think nero survives. The black hole literally tore the narada apart, so even if he survived going through the black hole, his 'compartment' would decompress and nero would sufficate. so unless the black hole deposited him directly on a habitable planet, he would not survive

On the other hand, if his compartment did survive... the Narada would regrow from it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him return as a villain, maybe for Trek XIII. Eric Bana's the man.

Unlike the Narada, and the Jellyfish, an escape pod would be incapable of surviving the shearing forces exerted by a gravitaional singularity.

The Narada, Nero and his crew are now spaghettified, and their subatomic particles are completely broken down.

All that exists outside the Black Hole would be the X-Ray emmissions that escape the event horizon.
