i think with the klingons captureing the narada would make scence after the kelvin ramped it. it's too distant to say if they did adapt that borg technology. for all we know the federation could have that technology as well. in my view the Enterprise movie design is pretty and i love it to death but down the road the Refit must take place. now i do not agree with the claim that there won't be an Enterprise-A in this alt. timeline because it has already started with saving earth. Starfleet is probably already saying that by saving earth and the federation from nero ( which reminds me somewhat of STAR TREK IV) that there will be an Enterprise-A, just a different way of presenting it. also the refit enterprise looks a little bigger to me than the movie version. if indeed the movie version is the size of the Enterprise-D then the refit is the size or atleast comparable to the size of the Enterprise-E

Hmm, looks interesting. I'm making my own refit design. It's not as clear cut, but the drawing gets the concept across.

I'm 16. Glad you like it.
Right now I'm making a 3d model. It's my first attempt at modelling, so it is low poly and has errors galore, but I'm satisfied so far. You can follow the progress here, just register at the forum. |

That's about where I would expect you to be a 16,
I didn't see the ship on that thread but I'm glad you're learning modeling. Wished I had. If you don't mind I'd like you to start a thread for this in the tech section beccause this will get swept away fairly quickly .

I didnt read all of that thread in your link but the person who said about using too many polys is correct. Dont go overboard depending on what you are going to use it for. In fact, if your model is not going to be used for gaming or anything like that try sub-d modeling (if your program can). It takes more time to learn how to do it but gives much greater flexibility for example in spending detail time only where its needed.

Uhh, Saq, the neck still looks like the same shape to me. Could you explain why you like the second neck and not the first one?

Love the saucer, secondary hull and nacelles!! But the neck is a little squished looking. I'd make it a touch longer and drop the curve at the back of the underside of the saucer in favour of something more angular, or a straight drop and bring the back of the neck in line with the saucer.
