I'm not familiar with these characters, DJ. Are they from books? Or TOS? If so, I missed them. Either way I don't recognize the names.

How about Decker? Not the one in STTMP, but the one from "The Doomsday Machine". Wasn't he Decker's dad? I'd love for them to run into that frakkin planet killer again! It doesn't have to be the entire plot, maybe just part of the action at some point.

they are the characters from a Bristish TV series called LIFE ON MARS.

THE ORIGINAL BBC VERSION - never mind the "girlie" US version

I highly recommend you try lay your hands on the DVD's

LOL! Actually, they really should sneak in some names over the comm system - the nerds would have a field day.

Rand, Rand, and more Rand. I've just decided that Sarah Michelle Gellar needs to don a red mini and start shooting coffee... and Klingons.

Decker and Ilia would be cool, although Decker is only 2 years older than Chekov.

YEAH! I thought the names sounded familiar! I thought you meant they were from previous star treks. I i watched every US episode of "Life on Mars". I didn't consider it "girlie"! I loved it! They had to end it differently than the BBC version cuz ABC told them they were gonna be cancelled, so I guess they came up with a different fianle than the BBC show.

I meant the Decker from the TOS series. He commanded that starship (cant recall the name) and the snowcone looking planet killer ***** slapped his ship so he beamed them down to a planet that the doomsday machine
ate", driving Decker insane. His son was the Decker in STTMP.
