Yeah, that's what I think. Kirk would buy him a beer and they'd have a laugh over the whole cupcake thing. Kirk is a team builder. That's his best leadership quality. That and his intuition. Both qualities Spock lacks - which is why even Spock saw the logic of following Kirk.

If I were Kirk, I would deny his request for a transfer and then proceed to make his life hell. He'd be assigned to watching a dusty corner of a supply closet for twelve hour shifts or something.

Yes. You are totally right in this. He'd sit him down and have a beer. Just remember he's a young Kirk so he doesn't have the same wisdom. He may have a bit of trouble negotiating around pitfalls at first.

Man, I can't wait for the next movie

I think Kirk would say, "I guess I can't call the Chief of Security, Cupcake, can I."

I agree that Kirk is a Team builder, That's why the E has been the best in the Fleet !!

Maybe he should send him to the Ice planet to replace Scotty.

Yeah, I'd like to see Cupcake converted to be a Kirk supporter. Because, as was already mentioned, Kirk is a team builder. I think that Cupcake might never like Kirk, but he will follow him and support him.

Yeah but now that Cupcake will surely be the most famous Redshirt ever, I hope the next movie won't knock him off.

Yeah, he's one character I'd like to see back as a bit part.

I wonder if his name is "Guy"?
