Hello,

My apologies for the OT, but I just kinda feel like I need someone to talk to.

Saturday, the day before I performed live with my band at a local venue, I ended up in the Emergency Room with chest and heart pain. This condition has been with me for a long time, but it of course takes a more serious tone now that I'm not a kid anymore.

So, the show went on without me and the guys found some fill-in personnel to pull off the performance. I'm glad that it wasn't cancelled, but at the same time, it made me feel bad. So, I've just been lying around trying to stay comfortable, and being depressed.

My conditions are pleurisy and pericarditis, among others! Does anyone share these conditions, or have any advice?

Those are very serious conditions and you need to be listening to your doctors (not the denizens of an internet movie board).

Indeed. I am seeing the doc to be referred to a cardiologist this week.

I really hope you feel better soon. Although I do not have those conditions I have a life-long disability that oftem gives me stick! [putting it nicely]

Indeed, and thank you. I'm on disability, too. My mother is also disabled and I moved in with her to help out. I had major lung surgery in 1991, and have always had trouble with the heart, chest, lungs, respiratory, etc.

I just hope something can be done about the mess that is my innards. The cardiologist should hopefully salvage something.

Well if anyone can help it would be the cardiologist and I have my fingers crossed very tightly for you!
yeah I have days like that lol but everyone has their strengths and weaknesses and we all have to muddle through

Agreed. Life is a reactionary thing. Life is what happens to us when we are trying to get things done.

I also have a heart problem, so I listen to my docs when they tell me ways to avoid surgery ( so far, so good! ). take it easy for a little bit, and get better soon! I will be thinking of you and praying for you, dear.
