I remember reading a quote from Berman where he said something like Star Trek was his now because he had put so many years into it. That attitude killed it.

If only Gene Roddenberry were still alive. He would give Berman a mean "*****" slap. I would sure like to see that. Heck, I'd pay good money.

Well, I love both, but I really don't think of starwars as science fiction. It's a myth story to me, I don't question the science in it, which I do in trek, I'm always interested in what makes things tick in star trek. Starwars to me is much more of a fairytale, a fantasy. So to me their not really the same animal and never really wanted to compare them; it's apples and oranges, other than they both take place in space and on other planets.

I don't know who got that crazy idea. I've been an obsessed fan of Star Trek for years, and was also mad as a hatter when I found out Lucas wasn't going to do anymore Star Wars movies after the last one was released.

Sir Num Nuts! You need to use your brain when you agree with a moron. Invoking GR's name, and implying your fantasy of what you think his wife and son should do in his name is just plain stupid. Case-in-point: If Majel didn't like what Rick Berman was doing with the franchise, then the would not have appeared in multiple episodes of TNG and DS9, or bothered continuing to play the Fed-Computer Voice all the years of VOY. And if you think that "Rod" really had any problems with what Rick did with his father's legacy, don't you think he'd have spoken out against him after all these years?

Good News, if you follow any production news, you'll find that ther will be at least one animated movie, and a new live action TV series of some sort that will have Boba Fett in it.

Zeph...okay, I'm here, I've read the thread, what was I supposed to be impressed with? If anything, I think you've proved another point of mine, people are here because they are Star Trek fans, and that's what they want more of. Whether they like Star Wars or not has nothing to do with it.

The good thing about this message board, we are all open to our opinion. such as mine, and yours. And if you feel the Berman did a great job as producer for Star Trek, then great. You and about the other half a dozen people would get upset by what was said.

But oh well, stuff happens.

As for Majel guesting as the computer voice, She more then likely did that for the fans, not for Berman. And she was not a "voice" in VOY as much as TNG.
