Hello fellow Romulan and nero fans i think that what nero did was justify. I feel sorry for him because he watched his beautiful wife and unborn son be vaperized right in front of him. I think he could have gone about aving her in this time differently. He was a great bad guy and should have boarded the ship. I feel sorry for him and love every minute of his performance.
greetings and dark wishes, neroprincess264 nero's love James T. Kirk was a great man, but that was in another life nero |

Agreed. He's a poor second to any of Trek's previous villains.

I don't understand Nero's motivation. I mean I could understand it if his wife had of just died, but by the time he got to do the revenge, it had been 25 years! I just don't know why that by that time, he didn't funnel that hate into a plan to save his planet at the same time, saving his wife and child! It's just a thought. He was a good bad guy though.

How about every one calling him captain, is that a "civilian" thing? I thought Romulans were all about commander and sub-commander?
He was a good psychotic character though. Unpredictable, emotional.

Thinking back through the films... Nero was the only villain I actually felt was a person. Two of them were too alien to effectively comprehend. Two of them were Shakespeare. The rest are barely worth mentioning. Out of that lot, I think I rather like Nero...

Well not to get political. But how about a few politicians who said they are going to push hard against the new supreme court nominee because of the tough confirmation process for Thomas? That was 30 years ago and they still want revenge? Things like that are common. Another, after 50+ years there are still people hunting down very old Nazis some of whom are probably already dead. Yes its a big difference between hunting down individuals vs annihilation of a planet. But the revenge motive is the same... or justice depending on your point of view.

Captain is a reflection that it's his ship, so he's the Captain. Freighter and Tanker captains are called Captain, though there's no rank associated with it. He's simply in charge of a ship, so that's his title.

what a shame for nero. a ship with outstanding technology, capable of destoring everything in his path, though he couldn't get it done against The Original Crew. Nero was never in the military which really failed him against kirk and the fact that nero didn't care about the little things only big things like vulcan and earth and leaving the enterprise unscanned at titan, what a waste of what could have been with over 150 years of technolgy.

Well I never liked how before Romulans were always treated as mean Vulcans.
