No you're right.
The Europeans to some extent have an apathy about the catholic church and this really appeals.

It would help if I'd seen more than ONE advert for Star Trek here in the UK. One advert on TV, and nothing on buses etc. Pretty poor advertising imo.

I saw quite a few TV trailers once it had had it's premiere. It can be a question of catching the right commercial break at the right time though.

Angels and Demons has a lot of advertising here in Britain, I haven't seen any Star Trek Ads anywhere at all here but I still hear people talking about it.

Besides one or two TV Channels, getting out every old Trek they could find, doing a Trek month there was a very, very poor promotion here in Germany.

If I had counted, I would estimate: 1 Trek Trailer (TV just a week or two before start) to 10 huge Wolverine Trailes for weeks on TV to 10 AD Trailers ... nearly no Posters or other things.

And for A&D ... perhaps, because the pope is German? But this Illuminati topic always had it's appeal here in Germany - don'T know why.

I will compensate for this and go for the sixth time in my beloved Trek

The illuminati are a great source of lore and legend.

i saw a lot of ads for star trek, toys, and billboards, so it was publicised, just not as much as wolverine...
