Default Tuesday 6:50 Showing: SRO!!!

How cool is that? There were only a couple of empty seats at a Tuesday night showing - that must mean that this holiday weekend will be even stronger.
Everyone applauded at the end, and my buddy who has never seen any Trek at all said it was the best movie she's seen this year.
Hooray!

That's good news. The theater was near full last night too. This will be a tough weekend with Terminator starting Wednesday at midnight.

Standing
Room
Only

A phrase from when they sold tickets to people who would stand in the back of the theater.

SRO = Standing Room Only. It's an old theater term that doesn't really apply to movie houses. It means all the seats are taken and that everyone else has to stand. It's a good thing. Means the show is a success.

I think that the Terminator film is a different kind of movie. I think it's rated PG-13, but I get the feeling that it's a hard PG-13, from the promos. I think there was some discussion of it possibly having been considered for an "R" rating.

I'm not in a mood to see a Terminator film, myself. It's too depressiing, given real-life events in the Mideast, where Israel is considering its options in case Iran goes nuclear.

That said, I like the Terminator universe and I like Terminator 2, especially. It's kind of at the James Bond level of enjoyment for me.
