Ok, we'll get this new movie and it'll be a runaway hit, let's say....

So what do you guys think should be the next adventure?

The next one will probably either pick up where this one leaves off or sometime shortly thereafter...

Supposedly this one ends with Kirk taking command of the Enterprise...so XII will probably be the "first mission"...

Actually, another couple of adventures before Where No Man Has Gone Before could be really good.

Assuming, of course, that this film turns out well.

Didn't the main cast have to sign for 3 movies? Obviously, the idea of sequels already exists, it doesn't seem silly to discuss it. That said, until we actually know what this one is about it's sort of hard to say what should follow it. I've thought it likely that the movie was going to be about the transistion from Captain Pike to Captain Kirk, which would fit with the idea of the movie ending with Kirk as Captain...I certainly would enjoy getting to see how Kirk and Spock figure out a way to work together and become friends...and the idea of getting to see Spock and McCoy's early interactions is great.
