Default spocks 5 oclock shadow

Is it just me, or did it seem like in some scenes Spock had some fuzzy cheek going on?

If you've ever seen Quinto in Heroes, he can grow a pretty heavy beard. The 5o'clock shadow didn't surprise me at all - and yes, I saw it too.
