What happened to the creature that Nero placed into Pike. This wasn't addressed.

1. Is it still inside him?
2. Could this be a possible plot line for the next movie?

Now wouldnt that be something for the sequel? Same senario as TNG but this time it happens sooner in the alternate reality with Pike instead of the other guy.

I imagine it was either surgically removed later or rendered inert but inoperable as it was attached to his brain stem.

Or the operation to remove it is what paralysed him.
