Default Spock's mother

Now that she died in the newest movie, how could they expalin her being alive in the Star Trek Vogage Home? Any thoughts?

History was changed. The same reason many other details are different in the new continuity.

Yep, new timeline now. It's just like Doc Brown said, in 1985, but this time no one is going back to try and correct it.

Interesting point, though: Are whales still extinct in that timeline? Since this is an alterered timeline, the door is open for all sorts of possibilities.

1. Who cares? That story has been told on screen. No nned to re-make movies that have already been done. New timeline/universe = new stories

2. If for some stupid reason, they must re-tell it, it's a long time from now. As of now, in this new timeline, we haven't even begun TOS. We got at least 5 years (even though they don't say it anymore) of TOS type stories to tell before Kirk becomes an Admiral and we begin the movie stories...

Alternate reality. Nothing is sacred anymore. The real Amanda is alive and well in the real Star Trek universe.
