All that, and the DVD's and Blue Ray's won't hit the shelves until October. Maybe we'll get a sequel, AND a new T.V. series.

this is great news. I'm assuming this is the more than any previous TREK has made.
no TV series. would never be epic enough. |

Angels & Demons' gross was revised down to somewhere around $46 million from $48 million. Trek's held steady from estimates to around $48 million.
Trek is within about $4 million of Wolverine domestically even though Wolverine opened a week prior. (Wolverine's foreign box office is much larger than Trek's, however.) |

That's wonderful news!
One thing for sure considering the results of the revenues, is that we can expect much more, at the least another movie, and hopefully we will get a TV Series with a promised 2 Season start. |

It wont be a hit anymore after this weekend when Terminator comes out. Its downhill all the way into the abyss after that.

Star Trek will survive against Terminator, don't be ridiculous. Summer movies, especially ones who have been so strong at their beginning, always have remarkable legs. Or else, Iron Man would have been swallowed by Indiana Jones, which would have been swallowed up by The Dark Knight, etc. etc. etc. For people who are dissatisfied by Terminator, Star Trek will be there, and vice versa. I guarantee Star Trek will be high on the top ten until the summer is over.
