There was one ship that blew up on it's own while the other ships were being attacked over Vulcan.
The USS Republic blew up because a circuit was left open to the atomic matter piles. Ensign Finney was the last person on duty before being relieved. Maybe if Kirk was on that ship, this terrible accident wouldn't have happened as he would have noticed the error. |
