IDK NCC? You'd thank he would since he was going through Pon Far. A teenage kid or an older adulescent would usually have a beard due to puberty. We did get to see his face go through a rough transformation there though.

I don't mind seeing how the original crew came to where they were in the original series but if we replace the original cast with this new one, it's the wrong direction in my opinion, much worse than the direction of Enterprise.

I'm excited as hell about this new movie and I think it will work, but I certainly don't want this new cast to replace the one of the original and in this new movie they seem to show the beginnings, where it all began and hopefully that's where it will stop. Where ever Star Trek goes from here, I hope it's forward into uncharted territory and I don't mean uncharted past material, they tried that with Enterprise and they failed. It's harsh I know, but I think this movie has the potential to reinvigorate the saga and pave the road for a new direction and I only hope that direction is uncharted!
and that's an important issue.
Does this new team replace the old team any the flash backs.?
What if it's really good. Is that forgiveable?

Maybe since they are able to block emotions, they can also control hair growth.

We also have to remember that ST III came out BEFORE Back to the Future, so really he should have been saying lines from Taxi...

Take The Search for Spock out and I'll agree 100%. I'm in an extreme minority (at least I would think so) in thinking the fifth movie is better than the third. At least The Final Frontier isn't boring.
