Wow. I keep checking RT and I am amazed and happy. The movie was very good, IMHO. I am so pleased that sci-fi, Star Trek no less, is getting fresh good mainstream attention.

The movie frankly shocked everyone...that STar TRek could ever look like that....That change alone is worth the 95% fresh....because it was a fresh new look

Definitely! For all the plot holes and parts that make you say, 'wait a minute', the experience of the movie was something to see! Certainly fresh and for me overwhelming. I've only seen it once, must see it again when I get the time to watch it more carefully.

Yes, ultimately, they delivered an incredible and worth while experience. Kinda makes up for the short comings.

I definitely prefer the new visual look in every way. They just have to keep it up for the sequel and future films now!

The whole engineering part of the ship seemed very industrial to me from the shuttle bay to the deflector dish. (interior) To be honest, I liked that look. It was very unfamiliar but not an unpleasant look to the ship. The ship looked very good from some angles except when they were initially approaching the big E in the shuttle, which was the first picture they released for the film. From that angle the ship is not as pleasing to look at. Top and bottom angles are quite stunning with the new lighting on the exterior. Your thoughts--besides those of Johnny Depp, of course!
