Default Okay...

I haven't given the new Star Trek movie a fair chance. Infact, I've been against it since it was a rumour on the distant horizon.

So... I'm going to go a see it. *Gasp!!! Shock horror!!!* on Thursday...I already have the tickets, so I can't chicken out.

I'm going to go in thinking that I am watching a completely original movie, hoping to have fun and I'll try to keep any criticisms I have on an "original movie" basis, some Trekkie might creep in though, it's only natural.

You can say "We told you so" if you want to.

Indeed. Go in with a fresh perspective. The Trekkie will indeed sneak in...but I can guarantee at least a 95 percent chance that the Trekkie within will reconcile and enjoy the changes.

Good luck, and enjoy!

You'll have a blast

I was very skeptical myself prior to watching it, but boy oh boy I wasn't prepared for what I was going to see. Yes it's an entirely new Star Trek, but I think it's a change for the better.

One more day to go and now I've got the Klingon painstick out of my butt, I'm kinda looking forward to it.

I'll be going in with a non-Trekkie open mind.

Look, I went into this knowing full well the mechanics of what they were doing; with that, I was open to most of whatever they did; what's weird I suppose, is that everything's different, yet the same, if that makes any sense.
I hope you enjoy it throuroughly, just know that it's an alternate timeline, and nothing's off limits, now.

Yeah, remember... there's no way it can be as bad as the "turkish" reboot.
