I'm with Elizadolots on the Khan thing. Save him for last, and go out on a high note. The first film was about the Crew coalescing and coming together. The second film should be about them developing their relationships with each other and forming a team that let's all of their strengths shine and their weaknesses show. Abrams has a real oppourtunity here to make these characters a bit more realistic.

On balance, I think the idea of Khan sounds great in theory but not sure that it could be done in a way that is fresh.
Thats obviously already been done, but finding him on a planet instead of his ship.

Since the new film is such a hit, I would think that the producers wouldn't settle for anything less than an A-list star to play Khan. Neither of those actors really fit the bill. But I do think Arnold Vosloo is a great choice.

Ooh. I never even though of him. He'd be perfect, if you could find him.

Interesting choice. But can he play the part with enough passion. The roles I have seen him in were too understated for this one.

I compare this debate with "Batman Begins" where at the end of the movie we find the Joker will be featured in the sequel. I was against it. No way could anyone top Jack Nicholson's performance. They should leave it alone and head in a different direction. Alas, "The Dark Knight" with Heath Ledger quickly ended that debate.

If it's true that Khan's next then I hope to be wrong again.

I think he'd be perfect given the chance and if he wasn't on the short list a little further down the track I'll be very surprised.
