Although he did use it, as acted by De Kelley, in ST II: TWOK. But I can understand your aversion to the word. I too often cringe at its usage, even when I myself am emotionally moved to invoke it.

how about scotty at the end when kirk has ordered max. warp to escape the black hole, scotty says " bet your a** captain". then after that " I'm giving all she's got Captain".
