Default "George Kirk" cast as Thor

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so if not please move this.

According to Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood Daily, Chris Hemsworth has been cast as Thor in Marvel’s upcoming movie based on the comic book character. Hemsworth is probably best recognized in this hemisphere for his role as George Kirk (James Kirk’s father) in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek. Hemsworth hails from Australia where he had a successful career in television, starring in the series “Home and Away”.

He did a good job with little screen time in Star Trek, and if Pine can anchor a big film, don't see why Hemsworth potentially can't either.

I hope they do the Thor-in-a-wedding-dress legend. That one's always a riot.

I think he was great in Star Trek, and he looks quite similar to Thor from the comics and Jake Olsen one of his alter egos depending on who Thors alter ego will be of course. But to hear another comic book movie is comingout is great news to hear, as Thor is definitley one of my favourite Marvel characters.

I think he would be better as Captain America.

I thought Alexander Skarsgard should be Thor, and his Da should be,... well... his Da!!!
