The old battlestar had a charm that was unmatched. Yeah it was corney but it like trek and every other series at the timehad the same problem. I look past that and see the substance.

The new one is another case of soap in space...
there are...more cooler action scenes but they are not often enough.

Saq, if you mean soap opera in space, I definitely will have to disagree with you on that one! Just because a show deals in relationships, whether they be romantic, friendship or whatever, doesn't equal soap, to me anyway. The majority of the the themes in the show are very much in realm of science fiction so to the point they are abstract, especially in the third season.

I have to agree with Saquist on this one. I stopped watching during Season 3 because...well...it just sucked. It becasme "As the Battlestar Turns." Person A was married to Person B but wanted to be with Person C and slept with Person D... it was just pathetic. We didn't see the Cylons for an entire group of episodes.

In my opinion, they landed on New Caprica too soon.

I heard that the end of season 3 redeemed itself, but I just don't have the heart or the will to watch it right now. The first half of Season 3 was a total dog, IMO.

If they stay away from the Quadrangle Of Doom, it'll go just fine in S4. I was very sick of Lee/Kara angst.

Yeah. Besides, I never saw what Lee saw in Kara. I think that Dualla is FAR hotter, anyway.
