Aye aye. I went to see it with eight friends, most in the 21-35 group, one in the group younger. Everyone was gobsmacked and couldn't stop talking about the film's epic win on the way home.

Adding in other demographics:
First time I went with my sister, she's 28 and she loved it! The second time was with my mom (54...I think), a female co-worker (58), a male co-worker (30), and my sister again. Third time I went with with my dad (58...or something like that). Every last one of them loved the movie! |

I went with my son who is 22 and he loved it (he drooled on my shoulder when Sulu pulled out that sword). We are going to see it again tomorrow, this time in IMAX. While both of us have been and still are fans, neither of us is a dress-up-in-a-costume level of fan and still are not. We just like watching it. I'm in my 50s.
A guy at work in his early 40s went to see it in IMAX (he's the one who told me where the IMAX version was). Both he and his two children (ages about 10-14, I think) loved it. More people at work will probably see it this weekend; I work with a lot of geeks. |

I loved it. But it is definately NOT my favorite Trek. I'm 52, I can't believe there are only 3 peeps over 50 that voted. My wife, 54, loved this movie, it is her favorite of all 11.

Hopefully more negative votes will be put in later on tonight so we can get a proper gauge of the film demographics. |

I'm 39 (and a Trekkie).
My girlfriend is 31. My sister is 37. Her roommate is 30. My friend is 41 (and a Trekkie). My other friend is 51 (and a Trekkie). My brother-in-law is 52 (and a Trekkie). My nephew is 17. We all LOVED the film--even though I only voted myself in the poll. |

Bumping thread for votes.
When the voter count gets to 100 I think I'll start posting my conclusions and theories and stuff. You're all free to discuss that now though, if you think you have a good handle on it. Question for all: Why do you think the results of the poll are the way that they are? |
