True for the most part, but as a point of fact, neither the Klingons, the Romulans nor Nero are specifically Kirk's enemies in this film.

Kirk is of very little interest to Nero.

This film is about Spock, when looked at in that sense and it's him who Nero has an interest in, and the Klingons have an interest in Nero.

In that sense, none of them is really actually that interested in Kirk. Only Spock.

I liked the scene with Kirk and Nimoy's Spock when he says he just lost his planet and then when Kirk has to make Quinto's Spock angry. That sequence of events was very moving.

I think Spock wanted to be 1st officer so that at least someone with appropriate training is on the bridge
