Yeah, down here in Nawlins' they still serve alcoholic beverages at the movies. The J&C slushie is not too strong with the Jack though. Obviously they don't want folks getting drunk at the movies. But if you drink it fast enough, you can get a buzz, as well as a headache.

Hell, in honor of the movie, they named two more daquiris after famous Star Trek drinks: Romulan Ale and Klingon Bloodwine. (Although the bloodwine is cold...not warm the way real Klingons would prefer it.)

Believe me, I was stunned at the cheap ticket prices too.

To paraphrase Scotty: "Ah love this place! It's exciting!"

What we find even funnier is when ONE person orders a Tub of popcorn with layers of butter, a Nacho, candy, and... a LARGE DIET COKE.
Sorry, but that diet coke does not offset the rest of your order.

Oh, and our Ticket Prices are $9.00 Evening, and $7.00 matinee. IMAX is Higher, $12.50 Sun-Thu Evenings, $13.50 on Fri and Sat Evenings. $10.50 Sun-Thu Mattinee, and $11.50 Fri and Sat Matinee.

$10.00 per ticket for my wife and I (as full sized kids).
$4.75 for a medium popcorn for me which I almost finished.
They were selling some new HUGE popcorn for $6.00 that was around 2 feet tall.

All of you should just say "I'm so glad I don't live in southern California" and then stop posting about the very inexpensive trips you've made to the theater.

On opening Friday night I paid $11.50 per ticket NOT IMAX... the soda was $5.75, the small popcorn was $6.00 and the candy was $5.00.

The next day I went to a Saturday matinee. The tickets were $9 per person. The soda was $5, the small popcorn was $5 and the candy was $4.

Quick Tip: Do what every other person does. Stop by Walgreens, CVS, or any Dollar Store and buy the same candy for just $1.00.

I know I work at theatre, and concessions are how we make money, since the box office revenue goes to the film companies, but you have to save where ever you can.
