I'm another one that doesn't get the whole comparison thing.
I grew up on Star Wars. I loved it my whole life. Still do. As I got older I started to have more appreciation for Star Trek. As an adult, Star Trek is my preference. But I would never say one is better than the other. Apples and oranges.

I love both and always have. I am a sci-fi fan all round but I have never understood why anyone would ever even consider comparing them to each other. Star Wars and Star Trek are two very different concepts.

Actually most Warser like STXI better than the average Trekkie.
I am on a Star Wars forum, too. And the STXI poll got a better result than the poll in an other Trekkie forum.

Both videos are pretty funny and show that fans are into both series. But, let's face it, in a real battle, the Enterprise would win. The Jedi rely too much on magic and religion whereas the Federation relies on science and engineering. Spock would say "there is no such thing as the force" and that would be the end of that.
