I don't need to see the video to know that a guy like that is what gives Star Wars fans....and sci-fi fans in general....a bad name. (Just like the Star Trek fans that feel the need to blast Star Wars because its an action space fantasy that doesn't involve studying the human condition, or some such lofty pretense like that.)
I am a Star Wars and Star Trek fan, and I hold neither above the other. ![]()

I am indeed a longtime fan of both. Always was, from childhood to now. I personally never, EVER understood how a "Trek vs. Wars" argument could even have any merit whatsoever.
Star Trek has always been about the human condition, and a hopeful vision of the future as it relates to us here, in this galaxy. Star Wars instantly removes the need for ANY argument by that little bit of text at the very beginning of each film. They all take place a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Even as a child, I took that to mean that it means it is pure fantasy, and nothing that applies in this galaxy has ANY merit within it. Everything from language all the way to physics just simply doesn't apply. So, I equally love each one, but for different reasons. Trying to pose a "vs." argument is well, completely illogical. If this were a Star Wars forum, I would have said the same thing. Heh, which I have actually, lol. -JT |

Star Wars is dead to me these days. The only part I still like is the Knights of the Old Republic era (4000+ years before the movies).

I actually enjoyed episodes I through III. Not as much as I did episodes IV through VI, it's true, but I DID enjoy them.

The video's obviously biased towards Star Wars. But with that said, the production values are pretty good! This isn't just some mspaint drawings gif'd together.

When it comes to Star Wars, all that appeals to me anymore is Episodes IV-VI. No prequels, no Clone Wars, no Expanded Universe, no cartoons, no Holiday Special, no TV, just good 'ol big screen movie goodness. I prefer the latter part of the Skywalker family's story these days, and practically all signs of anything else have been thankfully removed from my home.
