Default Did you feel for Pike more than you did for Kirk?

We all know that Kirk is the hero but did you feel a compassion for Capt Pike in the film knowing thru history he had a tragic ending and in this universe he was tortured? I felt for him .

Not really. I thought he made out pretty good in this universe. Better than being burned and stuck in a beep-beep chair.

I agree, AyanEva that the beep-beep chair for Captain Pike never sat well for me in TOS. I'm glad he got a better shake in this movie. Actually, Both Captain Pike and Captain Robeau were heroic captains. Finally! Starfleet has more than one competent, heroic captain!

I still cant find out why Robau didn't try to get out of the way from Nero. He had plenty of time when he clicked his lance. Think about it.

Not to mention Captain George Kirk, who I personally felt the most sorrow for.

YES. I cried the first time around. I just managed to hold it in last night but only because I was with a larger group and I didn't want anyone to make fun of me.

Nobody's going to make fun of you, they're too busy being flabbergasted.

Captain Pike is a good commander and i respect him, but James T. Kirk just has that edge over everyone else, think of it that mission would not have suceeded if Kirk wasn't in command. Pike's future was already in place and yes i did feel sorry for him.

The beep-beep chair. Oh wow that's funny

What happened to Pike sucked for him. I did feel for his character.
