The time travel war subplot wasn't very good. Neither was the whole arc looking for the bad guys in the Expanse.

The best episodes were the ones that foreshadowed all the other versions of Star Trek or concentrated on the characters. The whole series felt a lot more fun then.

I would say the writer Manny Coto had found the formula of what those wanted the problem was that the previous seasons minus season 1 was really off it game when it came to what trek was and introducing an entire new race the Xindi which we had never heard off or seen. Coto had gotten back to the basics and introduced to other species we had known like the Adorians, which also gave us a look into explaining the other back stories from past shows how things came about that never had closer. I thought that if Coto had continued the ratings would have gone up, iam not big fan of B&B, it just that i think they been writing trek for so long they just lost what trek was and is it there fault perhaps though they were driven iam sure by the studio to produce something trek. Though i give a thumbs up to Coto i think he did his best when it was just starting to get good and make sense within the universe of Star trek.

They cancelled it at the right time.

It just didn't work. Poor execution of the concept right from the start.

It's a shame it wasn't a good show, but the franchise had to move on.

Hopefully the mistakes of ENT will be corrected when the next Trek series appears on TV.

Otherwise, an early cancellation beckons once again.

If i were them, ENT would have never happened, at the same time, there needed to be Trek on TV.

I remember Gene saying that Star Trek should never go backwards and I agree but i guess the movie is already well underway to state that one.

I've just recently started watching ENT after I got a killer deal on seasons 1 & 3 ($50 total plus the Art Asylum phase pistol and comm!!). I really havent seen anything that horrible. Season 3 was great, I love the continuing storyline (much like the latter seasons of DS9). I really think it could have lasted a couple more seasons, but Star Trek was dying at the time, which is what makes JJ Abrams NEW Star Trek all the more valuable!

I watched every episode. Season three is what really killed it. Along with the silly Temporal Cold War.

Now Enterprise is just part of the overall Star Trek saga.

I don't think we need to keep beating a dead horse about the series, and why or why not it only went four seasons. The series is gone, and not coming back.

I like Enterprise right up until the last episode. For me that killed the whole thing, I think if they had promoted it better it would have done better, along other things. I think canceling it was the biggest mistake ever.

Dood, some of the last episodes in that series were so great. It really was canceled too soon, but boy they had some really bad episodes too...

I agree though, that Season 4 was the best and I think they should've just let it run... At least give it to some other network to air it if it wasn't good enough for "prime time" but I don't know the whole story.
