Default the VFX

Hi,

the visual effects in this movie were outstanding. ILM does top notch work again.

keep on eye eye on Uhura's menu when she is ordering drinks in the bar

I noticed that menu.

The Enterprise in action was beautiful and breathtaking.

I loved the very start, with that close, rotating shot of the Kelvin as it flies by, and you get some familiar TOS sounds amongth the ship's noise, and the radio chatter.

And we pull back to see the Kelvin and the start.

Great stuff.

Yes, a beautiful establishing shot!

I will say I think one thing that disappointed me were the photon torpedoes. In this movie, they seemed so-- nondescript. My favorite photon torpedo effects still come from ST: The Motion Picture.

Loved the phasers though! Hand phaser fire and shipboard phasers! They rocked!

Seeing the Enterprise burst out of warp with weapons blazing on the Narada....that knocked me out of my seat!
